File browser window manager hybrid

Concept for a hybrid file browser/window manager, it would allow people to create programs that are composed out of many small apps speaking a common language.

Point it to a folder, and for each of the folder's files it will open a window w/ a program appropriate to the file's extension, laid out in a column.
